Hi All!

It looks like a couple of round cakes were pushed together to create the figure 8 race track. But, how would you place the 2 cakes together to get that clean look like it is one whole piece. Also, the green grass looks amazing. I have tried this before but the strands just fall flat on the cake. They do not stand up. Do I use royal icing? Stiff BC icing? Any tips is appreciated.

Instead of saving this photo to my facorite photos on CC, I saved it in my AOL toolbar, so I cannot reach the person who made this..... =(

Thankyou...
LL

Maybe they cut part of the rounds on each end to make it kind of flat and then frosted them together.

I think you would cut a little piece off of both sides of the cake and put them together, you do use stiff buttercream and do not pull up too tall.

It looks like 2 cakes cut off a little then pushed together.

Yes you just need to stiffen up the icing - royal or buttercream.
