Hello!

I've just been asked to make my first wedding cake - a four tiered, fondant covered cake with ribbon and beads at the bottom of each tier. This is the timeline I am considering, will some of you more expeirienced decorators give me some feedback??

Tues/Weds - bake and refrigerate
Weds/Thurs - torte, fill and crumb coat
Fri - cover with fondant and add ribbon
Sat - delivery (stack and add beads)

Also, does anyone have tips for using satin ribbon?

Thanks for your help!!!

I've heard that just refrigerating the cake by itself dries it out. It would be better for you to put it in the freezer. The freezer makes cakes more moist. Other than that, it sounds good!
