I never have because I'm too scared, but I know that if you dowel it good enough then you can. I usually won't travel w/ more than 2 tiers stacked. I mean there are a lot of people who do it safely time after time and are successful from point A to point B. They do it on Cake Boss and Ace of Cakes too!

Hopefully someone who actually has done it will respond and give you tips.

There is a sticky at the top of the "How Do I" forum that tells about the SPS support system. You can definitely deliver stacked using that support system.

I use sps and never travel with anything over 3. Just my preference! N obad experiences with anything larger or anything, but I don't want to take the chance.

I use dowels and I travel with all of my cakes fully assembled... I don't want to have to be assembling and finishing cakes on-site.

pinkziab.... what do you use under each tier for support. cardboard... foamcore, or what. then you drive the long dowel thru.. ? and it rides safely... even if it is 4-5 tieres .. right?
