After my cakes cool - or get cold out of the oven - I have trouble getting the crumb coat to stick. Any suggestions? (Since I found this, I just let my cakes cool to touch and then crumb coat). Recently I have beening letting the crumb coat frig overnight so I can try for a smoother cake. But I just don't get why if they cool to long after taking them from the oven, I have problems.
Which icing are you using?
