When you freeze the cake to carve it how long dou u have 2 let it sit out before you eat it(so its not like concrete cutting into it)?

Any other tips also from people that have done this before would be alot of help.

Thanks

Cake thaws very quickly, so if you're freezing it to carve it, you won't have to worry about it being frozen by the time you eat it.

Different people carve their cakes different ways, and I'm one who never carves a frozen cake. I've got some tutorials on my website at www.cakedalaska.com

I did carve my first cake recently. I did a baseball glove. I did freeze it before hand and let it sit just a little before I carved it. It was pretty hard and with it thawed just a little it was easier to cut.
