I'm am looking into finally taking the plunge and starting my own business. However, I am wondering from other people how long it took you to build up a good cliente base. I know starting up my business is going to take some investment and I am hoping it won't take years to break even. Any insite would be appreciated. Thanx.

Well, once you're legal you can start advertising and that helps a lot. If you're working out of your home, I'd give it 2 years before you start making much $ as you build up supplies. If you're do a storefront, maybe three years. You should have enough self-funding to get you thru the lean months.

But, frankly, your business plan should address this issue in detail.
