When making a stacked square cake (10in and 8in) do you use 2 (10s) and 2 (8s)? Or is it a single layer cake? How do you charge for the cake if the layers are doubled?

Thanks
Stephanie

I always do at least 2 layers for each tier (no single layer cakes unless it's a sheet cake for me). I'm just a hobby baker, so I don't charge. Charging just really depends on your area. Is it going to be buttercream or fondant? I think most people on CC would tell people on here to charge 3.00 a slice and go up from there. (If you suggest anything lower, it's kind of --off with your head because you are doing yourself and everyone else a huge dis-service). =o)

I was thinking the same. I charge $2.50 a serving (I'm legal). People almost pass out when I mention the price. They tell me, right to my face, " your to high". That's way to expensive. Well I want to say " then bake it yourself" but I don't. But I sure want too. LOL
