I borrowed this pan from someone and they didn't have the heating rod. Does anyone know if I can bake this cake without it???

Thanks,
Christa

It probably wont get done in the center. Roll up a piece of aluminum foil, spray it with pam and put that in the center to conduct heat. When the cake is done and cool very carefully pull it out.

It's so funny you posted this. I had the same problem just yesterday. I have 2 wonder mold pans and lost both rods in a move. I raided hubbies tool shed. I found a super long screw (6") and used that with some nuts. The screw was brand new, but I still covered it with heavy foil. Worked like a charm. HTH

Wilton also sent me one for free. I emailed them to see if I could buy one and they sent it no charge
