Hi Everyone, I'm making my 1st cake next week. It will be a hula girl standing on a sheet cake. I've made a bunch of fondant flowers, but they need a boost of detail or something. Any ideas? I can draw and paint freehand fairly well - coming from a family of artists, so I'm not afraid to draw on the flowers if needed. HELP! I'll post a pic of my flowers soon. THANKS! icon_smile.gif

I just did some hibiscus flowers for a luau cake! I love the real ones that have a different colored center so I made fome fondant ones....my yellow ones I took pink luster dust and darkened the center and then dusted lightly the center of the petals. The yellow ones turned out the best....light color with dark center....hope this makes senseicon_wink.gif
