What is the best doctored cake mix for carving? I have tried the WASC with a topsy turvy and had problems with it sinking. I had dowled it, but it just seemed kind of spongy. I love this cake and everyone that I make it for likes it. Just didn't know if there was something better with a stacked or carved cake? TIA

I haven't had any problems carving the WASC or versions of it. I did my baby phat cake purse with it in a marble version. I freeze my layers before carving though.

I use one of the Cake Doctor recipes and have found it easy to carve if it's quite cold:

Yellow cake mix
3.4 oz box of vanilla pudding
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup veg oil
2 tsp vanilla
