I have a combo birthday cake to make for a girl who's into ballet and a boy who will be driving soon. The mom wants to incorporate ballet and cars into one cake. She likes my gift box cakes and is leaning towards somthing like that. Any ideas?

I have a set of twins that I do the cakes for every birthday. The fisrt year The boy wanted trains and the girl kitties so I did a train with the cars full of kitties. The second year I did a jungle cake with animals all over it and in one of the trees I put a boy monkey and a girl monkey.

You could do somthing like a car with the boy driving and the girl on point ontop of his car and him looking up at her with that look that sibblings get when the other is being a pain the the tush. I think that would be really cute. If she goes with the gift box idea then you won't have to worry about it cuz each one can have thier own personality.
