Coloring Gumpaste

How do you do this?
I am making a Hannah Montana cake for my daughter and I want to write Rock Star with gum paste.. how do you color it?

I use my gel colors to color gumpaste. I prefer Americolor but I think any brand would work. You can also mix some colored fondant into the gumpaste. HTH.

I usually just take a little Wilton's food coloring paste on a toothpick, add it too the piece of gumpaste I want to color and start kneading it until it is all worked in.

I think that chocolate is the only medium ... well, the only one that I use ... that you can't use normal cake colors with.
