.....making Wilton red icing coloring darker??? It seems like I used way more than I should have and it still looks pink to me. My AC Moore only sells Wilton colors, so I'm thinking if it doesn't get any darker by tomorrow when I have to use it, I'll spray the red icing color over it to enhance it......unless anyone has any other suggestions? Thanks in advance helpful people!!!

Are you using the Wilton no taste red? THat's what I use to get deep dark red color. Yes you have to use a lot of it but as long as it's the no taste red you should be ok. You could airbrush it as well, like you mentioned before. Also, if you color your icing and let it sit overnight, the color will deepen as well.

Thank you cakelady. Yes, I am using Wilton No Taste Red. I'm hoping it will get a little darker overnight, as you suggested it may. Maybe I'll need to use a little more, although it seems like I used half the bottle already!! Thank you so much for your help!

wilton no taste red will get darker the longer it sits. You do use a lot of the coloring. It should be fine tomorrow.

I made a spiderman cake for my grandson and used the colors that came in the color kit. The red was really really red. I got it at michaels. HTH.
