hi everyone!
i have a question?. does anyone here charge when delivering a cake? i have to deliver a wedding cake and i dont know how much to charge. i have heard some people do it by the mile but not really sure. can anyone help please.

Now that gas has gone back down, I haven't been charging as long as it's in town. If it's out of the area (like a 10-15 mile radius) then I still charge. Except for large cakes, I encourage people to pick up their cakes.

I charge a $30 flat fee within "City limits" or for anything that's going to be an hour or less round trip. If it's going to be longer than that the price increases. You're paying for your time, not just the gas.

I charge $1.00 per mile after the first 20 round trip (10 mile radius) so if an event is say 20 miles away I charge $20 because I am actually travelling 40 miles. So the first 20 miles is free then $1.00 for each additional mile.
