I know I read a topic on this a while back about what web hosting services others used and how to use the key words to get traffic but I can't find it.

I just set up a website using VistaPrint and they let you put in key words that should help when searched for but how does it really work. Because if I search for cake in my town nothing comes up about my website/business.

Will I actually have to pay Google/Yahoo/MSN serch enginges to point their crawlers at my site?

Any advice is MUCH appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm interested in this as well. My website is through Yahoo Sitebuilder. I've been messing with this for months now, and my business still doesn't show up when doing a search for cake businesses in my area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. icon_biggrin.gif

I've been curious about this too so I decided to check out google. Here's a couple pages I found: http://www.google.com/submityourcontent/index.html It tells you how to submit your page so it can be found.

This is for webmaster tools, an online forum where you can ask questions from people who know their stuff: http://www.google.com/intl/en/webmasters/

Hope that helps some.
