Rolled Bc Vs. Fondant?

Are they basically the same thing??? what are the differences...I have used wilton but I want something that tastes better...satin ice is a little $$$, looking for something a little cheaper...

I read Rolled BC is difficult to handle, that it rips easily, but It taste better than fondant and is cheaper, I will try it this week .See how it works

Not really the same thing. I don't like rolled buttercream for covering cakes. The best fondant I have ever used is the Michele Foster's fondant in the recipe section. It's super cheap and easy to make. Oh, and it tastes amazing!! Good luck!
