I am making a 8in. and 12in. cake with spiked pillars. The bottom cake will be on a 14 or 18in. plate. It's been so long since I have used cake plates. Are they strong enough as long as I support the bottom of them when lifting? Hioe this makes sense.

They are pretty strong. I used a 14" plate and it was sturdy, but it wasn't a stacked cake. Sorry I'm not more help!
