I usually just "tell" people how much their order is. I had an order for a Cookie Bouquet and "3" individual wrapped cookies. The order was from a co-workers friend. So I brought it to work and left it with the co-worker. Her friend came to pick it up, so the co-worker called and asked how much the total was. I told her $20.00 for the bouquet and $4.00 for the cookies. Stupid me left out the word "each"for the cookies, so shorted myself $8.00. The co-worker handed me the check on the way out and I didn't even notice until late last night.

I hope to eventually get Cake Boss, so my question is does anyone use a "freeware" program that will make invoices. I'm going to make sure they know on paper what the total cost is.

I'm petty sure MS Publisher has an invoice template you could use.

I use the Simple Start version of QuickBooks. It was a free download. Among its many features are several invoice templates.
