Can anyone help me with some ideas for a very quick train ccc or train cupcakes for a 4 year old boy's birthday?

A good friend called me with a last minute request and left the design up to me.

She only needs 14 cupcakes (I don't mind adding a few extra if needed).
No time for too many fondant pieces since I have a few Easter cakes to finish tonight too. They would never dry in time down here in Louisiana anyways!!

I tried searching the gallery but there are tons of pages of photos!

Any ideas or links to photos??

Thanks so much!

Why not find a picture in a coloring book and do a buttercream transfer on the ccc. That is what I think I would do.

If you are close to a cake decorating/candy place. I have a little chocolate train mold that the engine fits on cup cakes. I did some for a baby shower. Turned out really cute.

if your close to a william sonoma store they have a 9 piece train cake pan. Its super cute. I used it once for a 4 year olds birthday. I put the little trains onto a 9x13 sheet cake. He loved it and so did his mother. I tried to attach a picture but I couldn't make it work. Sorry

I've seen that train pan & it is cute!!

I am thinking of something *very* low on the difficult scale; something just above a 1M swirl on each cupcake!!

Well, not too bad, considering I had about a days notice!
Also, using the icing and cupcakes I already had made!
