3 Questions About Attached Wedding Cake Pic
Decorating By chilz822 Updated 1 Apr 2009 , 7:45pm by tastyart
OK, so I MIGHT be brave and accept my first wedding cake (something I swore I would never do, for fear of Bridezillas or 'ruining someone's special day').
The attached pic may be similiar to the final design.
My questions are:
What sizes would I need to serve 150-200 people?
How do I get the layout of the little beads on the sides so perfectly aligned?
Are the tiny side-beads hand-rolled or pre-made or dragees?
Guess I may also have to invest in my 1st First Impression Pearl Mold too!
Thank you all for your help!
According to Earlene's chart it would take a 16"-12"-8" to serve 155, which includes the top tier. I agree with PinkZiab that the dots are piped on. You could use a diamond impression mat to get the spacing for the dots. It is a beautiful cake. Good luck!
A diamond impression mat would make lines on the cake - if you just want dots try the dot impression mat. I have several, each one spaced differently. Check earlenes cakes or sweet expressions (on ebay)
Good luck!

How do you do that?

Thanks for clearing that up for me! lol
You are right about the lines on the diamond mat. The dot one would be much better. =0)
