I am baking the wilton 3d bear cake for a baby shower and am not sure which cake to use for it. I am either going to do the wasc but with out the almond extract(i havent done that before), or add pudding to the cake mixes. I am afraid the pudding will change the color of the cake and they want white cake. I just need the cake to be able to hold up to the bear pan. Any suggestions?

Use the WASC.

WASC & you can use a box of pudding in addition & it will work fine!!! If you're afraid of the color, use white chocolate pudding. I just baked 3 different cakes this way & they look white. It won't be as white if you use whole eggs, but using whites & pudding will be ok
