When I search the forum for something specific and the topics all come up if I click on a post, read it, and click to go back to the page with all the topics I always get 'page expired' or something similar and have to go back and retype what I'm searching. Am I doing something wrong?

happens to me too. I think that it just can't store the search page. Right click your link to the topic and open it in a new tab.
