I don't often pat myself on the back, but I feel like I have a reason to now!
I set out to make some quick and easy shamrock cookies for 2 different events this weekend. I got out my cutter and the darn thing was a JOKE! The stems broke off of every single shamrock. I was in the middle of baking and didn't have time to run off and get a new cutter, so I just started rifling through my cutters to see what I could come up with that would be "St. Patrick's-y."
I'm not so good at coming up with truly original ideas; I'm really good at copying things I see and like. But this time, my brain must have been actually working. Here's what I came up with: I used a circle cutter, cut dough in half for a rainbow; a mini holly leaf cutter, with edges rounded off; and a petal cutter from the Wilton gumpaste flower set to make a pot of gold.
Here's a link to the photo in my gallery and a photo of the cutters.
Yay me.

Score one for your creativity! The cookies came out fantastic, and you have to be doing a happy dance PLUS patting yourself on the back for coming up with your idea!
Nice job!!! You should indeed pat yourself on the back!! Great idea and absolutely wonderful cookies!! Love the idea of the dimension!
