Hiya all

Ok so i followed a receipe for sugarpaste 12oz icing sugar,1 egg white and 2oz glycerine(sp?)..It seems to have turned out great apart from its still a little sticky ..any tips on getting it right?I got the hubby to taste and he said it tasted fine(i dont like the taste regardless of who made it lol)i was thinking maybe more icing sugar but dont want to dry it out ..
Also while im here ,i found that after a few mins of it being rolled out it was dry and to be honest looked like elephant skin!! i know its normal for it to dry out but any icing that i have bought doesnt tend to look like this stuff does when dry
Any tips on how i get this right are welcome ..
many thanks
xx

I'm not an expert like the others who will post after me, but I've learned from here on CC that you only use small bits of your sugarpaste as needed....keep the remainder tightly wrapped in Saran and a tupperware. Knead in some Crisco well with your working piece, then make your flower/figurine/whatever. The Crisco keep the final product from drying to the point of cracking.
Right, experts???
