When I saw the sweet 16 Challenge, James Rosselle made a vanilla/choc cake combo with cookies n' cream filling. Does anybody have a good recipe for that? I tried one that was posted here and wanted to try other ones.

Could anyone advise me please? I want to try this cake - it sounds delish!!!

TIA

i used crushed up oreos mixed with my SMBC. i know some people used american buttercream but i think that makes it entirely too sweet...

Thanks! That is a great idea-hadn't thought of doing that. What about mixing it with a vanilla cream filling or whipped cream?

Here's a recipe I got on here from a fellow CC'er....unfortunately I have it written down without the user.

Whip 1 1/2 cups whipping cream stiff then put it into another bowl.
Beat 8oz. softened cream cheese with 2 cups 10x sugar. It will be thick.
Fold in the whipped cream.
Then break up a whole bag of oreos then fold that in.

I haven't used it yet. I'm trying to figure out which flavor cake it would go best with!

thanks! That sounds yummy! Wouldn't it work with vanilla, choc, or choc. chip cake?
