My sister's best friend has just got engaged and my sis has asked me to make her an engagement cake for when she comes over in two weeks time. Her fiance recreated the scene from the Sexand the City movie, where Big buys Carrie the Manolo Blahnik shoes and leaves them in the wardrobe! And yes, he really has bought her the shoes!
Anyway, I want to make a white cake with a blue satin swathe and a replica buckle from 'The Shoes' in the middle of the blue fabric. But I am struggling to think how to replicate the buckle really well as it's quite intricate.
For those of you who don't know about these shoes (and I must confess I didn't!) you can see a picture of them on Google images if you search for 'Manolo blue sex and the city'.
Can anyone tell me how I can make this buckle or get as close to it as possible??
