I love the look of all the cakes on this site with the ganache dripping down the sides. So, I decided to try it a couple weeks ago. I can't remember what recipe I used, but when I poured it on it just kind of stayed there. It didn't drip at all, even when I tried to pour it closer to the edge of the cake.

What was I doing wrong? Maybe it was too thick? Does anyone have a recipe for ganache that works well? Any tips on how to get it to drip down the sides of the cake would be great too. Thanks!! icon_smile.gif

Hi, were you trying to cover the whole cake with ganache?

Here is a link from sugarshack's blog, you need scral down to get to that topic.

If you slowly tilt the cake at a very slight angle and rotate it at that angle, it will help the ganache run.
