I am wanting to do a 3-d wubbzy cake covered with MMF can anyone give me tips and ideas I am very new at MMF thanks for any advise
Well this shouldn't be too bad as Wubbzy is fairly square! : )
Start by stacking all the cakes you need and carving the basic wubbzy shape. (I would add his ears/tail/and other features later.) Then make, color and roll the yellow MMF and cover his shape. Use the remaining MMF to mold his tail, ears, arms, etc and attach to his body.
MMF doesn't dry as quickly as other fondant, so you will have more time to work with it. It's better for molding figures, so this will help in molding little ears, etc.
I don't know that this helped much - but good luck! Can't wait to see the photo.
OK, I'll take the bait!
What's a wubbzy?
It is a cartoon character on PBS or noggin. My 4 year old son LOVES him. Sad part is he is just as annoying as Barney and Elmo!
