I ran out of Tylose and was wondering how much Tragacanth I should use in place of the tylose in Nicholas' recipe?

Use the same amount. The color just won't be as white. Add a little white white to fix this.

Thank you.
Just a question, I thought that the tragacanth was really strong and that you could use a small amount and it was the same as using more of the tylose, except the tylose is cheaper?

I bought the tragacanth not know what it was, but I am glad I did because I am so out of tylose!!!

Thanks again!

I think tylose started being used because it was less expensive than gum trag. It also doesn't have the odd color that gum trag can have. This is just speculation of course. I have some gum trag that I bought quite a few years ago and it cost quite a bit. So this is where I get my hypothesis.

p.s. I thought using $5 words just seemed like a fun thing to do. I know, it's goofy.
