Is there any particular way to get fondant to stick on cookies so they can be embossed or whatever? I've been wanting to give this a try.
Thanks!!

Use the same cookie cutter to cut the fondant shapes and either apply to the hot cookies or you can use Karo syrup as glue and apply them that was as well.

Piping gel works as well.

I cut of the fondant shapes as cakediva suggested and put them on about thirty secs before they are done. So, the fondant has a chance to soften and stick to the cookie.

I use an ever-so-thin smear of buttercream
