I have been searching the Internet and I just can't seem to find an answer. What are the California laws regarding cake decorating business from home. I looked through the secretary of state web site and was not able to find any information. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. Should I be getting a commercial kitchen to be legal??

from what I heard California does not allow in home baking and furthermore enforces the rules pretty rigidly.

I am in CA.. and yes you cannot sell any type of food unless it was baked in a commercial licensed kitchen. You get caught you get a fined. I know it sucks, but that's how it is. icon_sad.gif
