I am going to be making a wedding cake. I have never done this. Little nervous does anyone have any suggestions on making the teirs any easier. And what is the easiest way to stack the cakes on each over.
something which is quite calming is to think of it as individual cakes, which just happen to be getting displayed together, its a bit better than thinking of a giant stacked cake.
theres a lot of good things on here about how to stack a cake, if u check out the article section - either doweling, or sps.
good luck! do you know what design you are going to do?
xx
I've always used foil covered dowels, but the stress free support system is very nice. It will cost you some bucks though.... If you choose to use dowels, make sure you put ENOUGH in the cake. I know someone who put FOUR in each layer, regardless of size. I told her she was an accident waiting to happen...... You always could choose a set up stand that didn't require any supports. There are options out there.
