I found these molds on the Michaels website. Could they work with fondant or gumpaste? They have ones with faces! That would simplify my life.

I have used them! Dust generously with cornstarch being careful not to plug up a crevice or your finished piece might be missing a nose...

They work best if you pop them in the freezer for a few minutes to harden the fondant or gumpaste so it retains it's shape when you pull it out.

My issue for faces, though, is that you still have to form the back of the head. It's easiest if you can use a toothpick to prop the face up in styrofoam as you add hair and what-not so you don't inadvertently smoosh the face.

Yes I do use them also and do use the cornstarch as suggested.

Thanks for the replies. I think my next 40% off coupon will have to go towards these! They look like they could be fun to play around with. icon_smile.gif
