I need help............I have a huge cake I am working on and I did a crumb coat and a full coat and I can still see through the icing. Can I realistically put on another coat of icing without screwing it up? I Really don't have time to start over. Did I say it is my first wedding cake also? Omg, someone please help me. icon_surprised.gif

Its possible you just didn't put enough icing on the coats that you did. You definately don't need to start a whole new cake!!!! I would just put another layer of frosting. Good Luck!

thanks, that is what i ended up doing. I was just afraid it would wreck it since it had set up. It worked out ok. icon_biggrin.gif However, I will never do another wedding cake. It is far to stressful.. to much happiness riding on it.
