I need help............I have a huge cake I am working on and I did a crumb coat and a full coat and I can still see through the icing. Can I realistically put on another coat of icing without screwing it up? I Really don't have time to start over. Did I say it is my first wedding cake also? Omg, someone please help me.
Its possible you just didn't put enough icing on the coats that you did. You definately don't need to start a whole new cake!!!! I would just put another layer of frosting. Good Luck!
thanks, that is what i ended up doing. I was just afraid it would wreck it since it had set up. It worked out ok. However, I will never do another wedding cake. It is far to stressful.. to much happiness riding on it.
