I'm doing a cake for Saturday w/fondant accents and bow. In the past I've just used MMF and colored it myself, but to save time (since it's only for accents) I bought the precolored fondant that Wilton makes. I've never used it before. I made loops and curlicues today. My question is will it fade? Or will the colors stay vivid? I don't want them to fade. Thanks for the input.
PS- I tried searching for old posts, but didn't find this specifically addressed. I've had fading in the past w/MMF icon_mad.gif and want to avoid it.

It will fade over time if left in the sun, had it happen on display cakes, but for a cake thats going out on saturday i would say you should be okay, i still would keep it out of the direct sunlight.

BTW: i have fondant figures that were made with this fondant last year and they still look great, of course they are not sitting in the direct sunlight.

Thanks Peg. I'll keep them out of the sun!
