I have created this problem for myself and now I need some help to pull it off. I am dying to do a purse cake, but since I recently quit my job to stay at home, I don't feel like I can make cakes "just because." I need to do a cake for DH's office for Valentine's Day, so I thought if I could do a purse cake for that, then it wouldn't be wasteful. I also need to practice gumpaste flowers, so I would like to incorporate those too. But now I can't come up with a way to make that make sense!

Any ideas?

All I can think to do is maybe decorate the purse with red or pink hearts and do some longstem gumpaste roses to lay on the cake board. If you've got something better, please let me hear it. Thanks!

No, all of his employees are women, and this is for them. They know anything they get from DH was either made for them or purchased for them by me icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks! I LOVE the zebra print idea with bright red roses, I can totally see that in my head. I am hooked on this idea now, so that's probably what I'll do. thumbs_up.gif
