First let me just say THANKS to all of you helpful people who have taught me so much.
Here are my latest questions!
1. when using MMF, should crusting or non-crusting butter-cream be used underneath?
2. also, MMF always looks a little dull to me. Is there anything I would brush on the finished product to make it look for glossy?
Thanks in advance!
Marianne
1. I use both..i've even used whipped icing underneath.. but i freeze or near freeze my cake before I put the MMF on. That way you can manipulate the MMF without destroying the cake underneath..
2. you can add a whitener to the mmf during the mixing process... but if you want a glossy look over white you can use clear piping gel but i'd use very little and let it dry completely before touching it or you will have finger prints all over it. If you want a glossy color to it, i'd paint it with airbrush paint and vodka combo.
