Hi all...
I am doing a christmas cake 2-10" rds with white mmf and red mmf. The white is on the top and will scoop down and peak at top all around with the red fondant at the bottom. My question is do I put the red fondant all over the cake or do I do the white on top first then add the red at the bottom? new to decorating with fondant so all help is much apprecited. I have made roses with mmf but first time covering a cake. I am going to crumb coat it first and put in freezer tonight. Party is Friday night. I am just unsure how to do the layers of fondant please helpppppppppppp icon_smile.gif

Hi Chippi, I would cover the cakes in white & then add the red at the bottom. I always do a normal layer of BC under the fondant. Why are you freezing the cakes? I have never placed fondant on a frozen cake & I am just wondering if it will sweat as the cake thaws. I am interested in seeing what others have to say regarding this.
