All of those that answered my last post thanks great info... I found a new way of doing it .. What i did was marked out the bottom of my cake evenly, on my 8" cake i went approx. 1 1/2 " then took a 45 degree triangle (ones for drafting and drawing) set it next to the cake, took my fondant tool followed the triangle all the way around..... repeated process to form the diamonds in other direction.Then took little balls at all the points and waallla i have quilting effect... i hope to post pic soon waiting on slow puter to upload from camera..
