I have had an epson c88+ printer for 1 1/2 years, no problems. I refilled my black cartridge this weekend , and now the printer doesn't recognize the yellow cartridge icon_confused.gif . I have reset the chip and still nothing. Any clues?

Epson printers sometimes come to 'end of life' and will not work period! A work around for this is installing SSC Service Utility
for Epson Stylus Printers from this site: http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml
I've used this on a couple of Epson printers maybe it will help you with your printer.

Thanks for the help, but it didn't work. Time to toss it I guess.

What brand of cartridges are they and how many times have they been refilled? Kopykakes states they can only be refilled a couple of times but I don't know if that's true or not.

Once in a while my printer says that one cartridge is empty (when it clearly isn't!!!), so I take it out and shake it, and then another one says it's empty, and I have to do this for ALL of them. Ridiculous!!! But eventually it works. I would try new cartidges, and THEN if it doesn't work toss it.
Good luck!
