I have had an epson c88+ printer for 1 1/2 years, no problems. I refilled my black cartridge this weekend , and now the printer doesn't recognize the yellow cartridge . I have reset the chip and still nothing. Any clues?

Epson printers sometimes come to 'end of life' and will not work period! A work around for this is installing SSC Service Utility

I've used this on a couple of Epson printers maybe it will help you with your printer.

What brand of cartridges are they and how many times have they been refilled? Kopykakes states they can only be refilled a couple of times but I don't know if that's true or not.

Once in a while my printer says that one cartridge is empty (when it clearly isn't!!!), so I take it out and shake it, and then another one says it's empty, and I have to do this for ALL of them. Ridiculous!!! But eventually it works. I would try new cartidges, and THEN if it doesn't work toss it.
