Hi CC Members!
I was going to make a carrot cake for my husbands bday and wanted to add a filling. I am going to use a cream cheese/buttercream frosting. If anyone has any ideas on frosting and filling please give me your input! This will be my first filled cake. Also, does a cream cheese icing pipe well on cakes? Thanks everyone.
Chippi in the making!

Everything you ever wanted to know about making your 1st tiered/stacked/layer cake:
Here's a recipe for the Costco mousse filling:
(Think they pair carrot cake w/apricot mousse filling). But since you're making the filling, I think pineapple would also be tasty.
Edited to correct the positioning of the link....
Tyvm Jan! Wow appreciate all them links, surely I can make one now I will post pics soon. I have a heart cake to do also for the weekend. Btw, your pic is really nice............drool.....lol
You're very welcome, Chippi.
A tasty and easy, but a bit sweeter filling:
The above filling is great layered with any of the sleeved pastry fillings or preserves (and it looks great when the cake is plated).
I also think Gerard Butler's definitive portrayal of the Phantom of the Opera is and always will be his greatest work.
