I hope this doesn't fall into the realm of dumb questions icon_razz.gif .... but in all my years of making cheesecakes....I've never made a plain chocolate cheesecake.

I have a recipe that I love and I've made it with all sorts of additions (chocolate chips, pumpkin, raspberry, etc)... but never chocolate to where the whole cheesecake is chocolate colored, chocolate flavored etc..

So, I was wondering if I could just add some cocoa powder to the recipe I love - I know it would color the batter, but will there be a chocolate flavor, or does anyone know what else I could do/use?

Thanks!
Denise

Denise---

We have made several cheesecakes with several variations of chocolate.

We really love the Special Dark Chocolate cocoa. So, yes, you can use cocoa powder. You can also use melted chocolate coating to give it a more whipped chocolate taste.

Experiment and have a blast!!!

Thanx so much for the response & the help - I've done several different flavors... just never chocolate.

I looked at your site and you guys really have some awesome sounding flavors (& cute doggies thumbs_up.gif ).

p.s. we're almost neighbors - I'm south of Tampa

Oh, very cool! We visit the John's Pass area a lot when we get the chance.

Good luck!
