I need a little help. I want to make a helmet cake for my aunts wedding and I have the slightest idea how to do this. I was thinking of using 10" cakes because I have to carve. How do I do this? Help please!!!

There is a discussion in the forum about making a football helmet here is the link.....

Even if you search for Helmets on CC you can get some ideas and maybe PM a member on how to get instructions for it! You can also google "helmet cakes" and go into "images" and look at all kinds of different helmet cakes.....although I am not sure if that would tell you how to do the cake! Good luck I hope that forum discussion helps and you find some instructions!!

The galleries have a lot of helmets in the sports section, assuming you are doing sports. Many tell what size cakes they made with a quick how to instruction. My only advice is don't cut to much off the base or it will tip. (I learned the hard way!lol)
