I'm having a family Halloween party on Friday. I'm making a cake with MMF. Is it okay if I bake it today, ice it tomorrow, and fondant it on Thursday? Then Friday I can put on finishing touches. Or is that too long for the cake to sit out? Also, I'm making RKT. When should they be made?

I'm also making a cake for Friday.. I'm going to bake my cakes tomorrow. I think you probably could bake your cakes today if you used a moistening syrup. (I always use this..no matter how many days in advance I bake the cake).

I don't really do anything with RKT, so I can't help there. Sorry!! Goodluck!

Thanks. I think I'll just wait until tomorrow to bake. I'm just getting anxious to bake. LOL

My experience with RKT says make them right before you use them, well, they need to cool first. I tried making some ahead of time and they get stiff and won't be flexible at all after only a day. They need to be fresh.
