I am making my son a soccer ball cake for his birthday. I did a practice round last weekend (3 wks) Prior to his b-day. After baking the cake the center collapsed. I did some reading and I found 2 choices either baking longer and taking the temperature down or putting a heating core in it.

I am just wondering which is better? Any suggestions? Oh the pan is the half soccer ball pan.

Lower your temp and bake longer.
