I'm looking for cake/icing combinations that fit the season. Example... what icing would be good with pumpkin cake...etc. Can anyone help me?

Pumpkin Cake with spice or cinnamon BC
Pumpkin Cake with cream cheese filling

Spice cake with cream cheese filling
Spice cake with cinnamon BC filling

Vanilla cake with cherry pie filling
Vanilla cake with apple pie filling
Vanilla cake with blueberry pie filling
Vanilla cake with pumpkin butter filling
(Tastes just like a pie, but in cake form )

Carrot cake with walnut cream cheese filling

I just made a delicious filling with pumpkin butter. I iced it with a cream cheese frosting. (The cake was for a client, but the filling was so good I had to make one for my family, too!)

I like to use apple butter filling in a cinnamon vanilla cake.

Also, not sure if you have tried hummingbird cake (vanilla cake with crushed pineapple, walnuts, and coconut) it has cinnamon in it so it reminds me of fall. It is really good with cream cheese frosting too.
