This is my first time to bake on a 14" (2" height) round cake pan. My recipe calls for a 9" (2-layer) round pan. Based on this, how many recipes should I bake to fit in the 14" round pan. PLEASE HELP. Thank you.

This chart here on CC has approximate # cups batter per pan: http://www.cakecentral.com/article14-Cake-Baking-Cutting--Serving-Guide---2-in-Deep-Pans.html

Basically it says 5.5c per pan for your 9"...10c for your 14". If you are only doing one 14" pan then one recipe will work.

Please note that I have never actually used this chart to determine alternate batter amounts so I can't vouch for its accuracy, but I would think that if the #'s were off it would have been changed by now icon_smile.gif.

I put an entire recipe in a 12" pan, and 1½ in a 14".

Yuppers....one and a half....or you can use the

White almond wedding cake recipe with the extender and make it a pour it in the pan 2/3 of the way and forget it way!!

Works for me!!

Good luck to you!
