I picked up my printer the other day and my edible ink cartridges and icing paper just arrived by UPS!!! I am one happy camper - well, except for the shipping costs and brokerage fees because I am in Canada. icon_mad.gif

Anyway, I'd like to make a photo cake for my parents' 55th Anniversary this weekend. (That is assuming I can get this thing all set up and working.) I have the design all ready to go - it's several sepia coloured prints outlined in pink, with pink text. I plan on putting them around the outside of a hexagon-shaped cake.

My question is this ... I'd love to cover the cake in chocolate fondant because it's a nice match with the sepia. Is this a bad idea? I know the pictures would just 'jump out' on white, but subtle is okay too. Has anyone done this? Did it work?

I'd appreciate any help you can give me, as I've never worked with edible images before.

The chocolate fondant will probably show through the edible image, I know other colors do.
