Here's a"How to make Santa's Elven Castle Cake"

Tree and lace pieces were made using royal icing on waxed paper. Tree pieces were then assembled. Snowmen and reindeer were made with marshmallow fondant. I used dry spaghetti pasta and brown icing color for snowmen's branch-arms. On the two medium towers, the reindeers, windows, and wreaths were made from marshmallow fondant. On the two small towers, cup cake, windows, and present were made from marshmallow fondant. Presents, cake, and cup cakes on top of small towers were also made from marshmallow fondant. Red/White Candy decorations on the towers and castle entrance were made from marshmallow fondant. Main roof's eves are green marshmallow fondant and rooftop is red marshmallow fondant with hand-carved tile pattern. Windows and elf were made with marshmallow fondant. For evergreen trees, roll out green fondant and re-roll with spiral pattern roller and wrap using two small cones. Use tip 5 to cut red, yellow, and blue marshmallow fondant tree ornaments. Gingerbread man cookies were made with sugar cookies and marshmallow fondant using small gingerbread man cookie cutter. Bottom "cake" piece is styrofoam with red marshmallow fondant cover. The next layer is one-layer 9 in. round vanilla raspberry cake with white marshmallow fondant cover. Top layer is 6 in. round vanilla raspberry cake, cut in half and assembled as semi-circle, with white marshmallow fondant cover. On 9 in. cake and 6 in. cake pieces, windows are made of marshmallow fondant and lace pieces are royal icing. Entrance (between gingerbread men) is made with Castle Cake window piece and marshmallow fondant (for wreath and star). Santa Clause piece is all marshmallow fondant, hand-sculpted. Tower and rooftop Christmas lights are made with fruit roll-up (cut in strands) and marshmallow fondant (for the lights). Base piece is an 18 in. cake board with royal icing cover with royal icing trees and marshmallow fondant snowman and reindeer.
