The things that offend me are vulgar words and pornographic dipctions of women on vehicles!

When your child asks what does the word C*nt mean? because he saw it on a truck next to you, there is something desperately wrong. icon_surprised.gif

Being offended by someone answering a question you opened up to the entire world to comment on, is ridiculous. icon_cry.gif
If you dont want the truth so not ask for it. I am honest to a fault. You know where you stand with me. I wear my emotions and opinions on my shirt sleeve. I feel that is being fair to others. I expect the truth from them as well. Dont sugar coat it, just tell me. I hate hearing I might have hurt someones feelings. I really, really do but I also hate to hear someone telling another person a lie to spare thier feelings. Hiding the truth is not being true to yourself or another person. It does not help anyone. thumbsdown.gif

In the galleries if I cant find a nice aspect of the cake I just dont post.

People do "hide" a bit online too I think. You have heard that song "I am so much cooler online". I cant tell you how many times I am reading a thread and that song pops up in my head. You gotta take what people say with a grain of salt.
Polekitten was really upset evidently. And yes it might have been juvenile to point out that she was the thread police. I didnt see any bullying though just friendly rib poking.

Maybe people are touchier these days because they're stressed for one reason or another (the economy is leaving me feeling a bit anxious).

A few weeks ago I drove down to help my parents clean up after hurricane Ike (tree fell on their house - major damage). Anyway, on the drive down there I got stuck behind some guy driving 10 miles below the posted speed limit - obviously sight seeing. We were on a one lane road (double yellow - no passing). This guy keeps slowing down, hitting his brakes as he rubbernecks. My thinking is that if you want to sightsee, you need to stop and look, not hold up traffic. Finally, since we're getting no where fast, I tap on my horn. Talk about MAD! Boy did I get some obscene gestures.

Finally this nitwit slows and pulls over, rolls down his window and screams at me to "get off my a$$!" Sorry, buddy, I kept my distance. You need to ease up on the weed - it's making you paranoid.

At any rate, I laughed it off. Figured most people were touchy/grouchy. No power, no water, etc. can put people in foul moods.

RUBBERNECKERS!!!! icon_mad.gif
I mean I want to yell, "Get out of everybody elses koolaid, mind ur own bidnez and move it!"

It is one thing to be a good samaritan and stop and help someone on the road it is another to drive around staring at others misfortune.
I think TV and the media train us to this RUBBERNECKING mentality though.
